Interesting, picturesque Norman Church with a distinctive half timbered belfry on top of its tower. It has an unusual ground plan and medieval roof timbers.
Much of the original Norman building remains intact.
Unusual stone reredos in north chapel.
When he lived just up the road at Plas Gwyn, Sir Edward Elgar often visited the church and played the fine Nicholson & Lord organ. His composition Elegy for Strings Op 58 was inspired by the view from nearby Mordiford Bridge.
Impressive stained glass window by Thomas William Camm.
Outside is a 14th Century churchyard cross.
The Wye Valley Walk goes through the village and passes within two hundred meters of the church.
