Interesting, picturesque Norman church with unusual ground plan and medieval roof timbers.

Impressive early stone reredos in the north chapel.

A number of fine Norman features.

When he lived just up the road at Plas Gwyn, Sir Edward Elgar often visited the church and played the fine Nicholson & Lord organ. His composition Elegy for Strings Op 58 was inspired by the view from nearby Mordiford Bridge.

The church is a short distance off the Wye Valley Walk which goes through the village.

Food and drink available at Bunch of Carrots public house nearby on B4224.
